Furthermore, Encompass Healthcare was built to accommodate quadriplegic, paraplegic and wheelchair/disabled patients. Our ground floor entry into our suite from the outside has plenty of handicapped parking right outside of our front door (we also have an entryway into our office from the main hallway). Our office is equipped with hospital-level equipment including a lift, an indirect calorimeter, a seated scale, a transcutaneous oximeter (which measures the amount of oxygen getting to a wound site,) skin substitutes, and more. We accommodate our disabled patients with automatic doors, a roll-in Shower, 5-ft.-wide hallways, reinforced bathroom safety bars & handles, and 48-in.-high walls so that they can see the entire office.
